Freckles was spotted running loose in a neighborhood. Her founder captured her and posted 'Found' signs, but no luck. She brought Freckles to MHRR in June 2009.Freckles is a very curious and bold girl. She really enjoys her head rubs (sometimes demands it!), but is a kicker when it comes to being held. Her new foster mom had this to say: 'Freckles is doing well.  She seems to be a digger, she really likes digging in the litterbox when I take her out.  She is not afraid of my dog at all, he licked her nose and she just ignored him.  He also barks to try and get her to pay attention to him and it doesn't phase her.  She grunts whenever I open the cage but doesn't lunge or do anything very aggressive.  She will sit in the same spot and get pats for as long as I'm willing.'  We later tried Freckles with a couple other rabbits to see if she would like a friend, but she was quite the bully with other bunnies! She will most likely need to be an only-bunny. Other pets are ok, but she doesn't like any other longears around!Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue asks a $50 adoption fee per rabbit, or $75 for a pair. We strongly recommend indoor homes for our adopted pets. All rabbits are now tattooed 'MHR' in the ear (while under anesthesia) and are spayed/neutered before they are adopted unless our veterinarian recommends against it because of age or illness. Each adopted pet comes with an adoption certificate and packet, as well as an adoption basket with a supply of their current diet and a toy.
