Mila is the mom to the 2 puppies listed on the website. Her name means "miracle" and it is a miracle her and her puppies are alive. They were rescued from a drainage ditch where a very nice lady had been feeding her for weeks, even before she had the puppies. It was through her efforts and local rescue in the area she made it to us. It was another miracle she survived. She had a severe infection in her uterus and a tear. She was anemic from the amount of fleas and worms. Although weak, she had emegency surgery to remove her uterus and was given a B vitamin supplement to help with the anemia. Although it was touch and go she survived and is learning the comforts of a safe and loving home. She does have heartworms and will be treated once the weather cools off.
