would like to start off by thanking Cindy Madere as my Best Buddy. We call her Butter, and sometimes B.C., but she never lets us forget that she is the Diva of CAAWS. Butter is a female Chow born approximately 7/00. She is up to date on shots, spayed and heartworm negative. It's kind of heart wrenching that Chows get such a bad rap and that no one ever comes on a Saturday to see her or fill out an application for her. Butter is 9 years old now, her teeth are worn down (but she can still eat hard food moistened with water) and she isn't into jogging or playing fetch. She would just really like a home of her own where she can lie on the sofa, watch tv, eat breakfast and supper (when she's ready) and go out to do her business and sun if the weather is nice. Butter is probably totally potty trained and as at our shelter she holds it until let out. She loves to have her belly and chin rubbed. She is shy at first and may not act like a typical dog who adores you because here at CAAWS, she is used to being the one getting adored. All the volunteers at CAAWS love Butter, but would all give up their Christmas wishes to have Butter join a family of her own. Oh, one without cats would be great since she's not very fond of them.
